These terms are an agreement between you and BinaryPoems (OPC) Private Limited ("we", "us"), the maker of MedicineShots (the "app"), covering the app, this website, and the Pro subscription. By installing or using the app you accept them. They are written to be read, not skimmed; if something is unclear, ask us.

1. What MedicineShots is — and is not

MedicineShots is a medication reminder and adherence tool. It fires insistent alarms for doses you schedule, lets a linked caregiver see whether a dose was taken, keeps a simple health journal, and shows an emergency card you fill in yourself.

  • It is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice. Which medicine to take, how much, and when is decided by you and your doctor, never by the app.
  • The emergency card, health journal, cycle tracker and similar features show only what you entered. We do not verify it, and it must not replace medical records or professional care.
  • Reminders can fail. A phone can be switched off, out of battery, muted by the manufacturer's battery restrictions, or denied the permissions the alarm needs. We build hard against this and the app includes a self-test, but you remain responsible for taking your medicine. Do not rely on the app alone for a dose that must not be missed.

2. Getting and using the app

  • The app is distributed as a signed installer (.apk) from medicineshots.binarypoems.com, not from an app store. Only install it from this website and verify the checksum shown on the download page. We are not responsible for copies obtained elsewhere.
  • You need a Google account to sign in. Keep your account and phone secure; actions taken while signed in are treated as yours.
  • You must be at least 18, or use the app under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms. If you set reminders for another person, you are responsible for having their agreement.
  • We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute it, or use it to harass anyone.

3. Caring for someone else (caregiver links)

  • A link between two people is created only when both accept it in the app, and only while both hold Pro.
  • A reminder that one person sets for the other can be changed or removed only by the person who set it. The person being reminded can always see it, respond to it, and can end the link.
  • Either person may ask to end a link at any time; the other person confirms, and it ends. Deleting an account that is part of a link asks the linked person to confirm, so a caregiver arrangement cannot be silently dropped; an account with no link can be deleted on its own.
  • An optional device-protection mode can prevent the app from being uninstalled from a phone. It is never on by default: switching it on requires deliberate setup on a computer with the phone owner's cooperation, and switching it off requires the linked person's confirmation. Use it only with the phone owner's informed consent.
  • Photo proof is reviewed by the linked caregiver and is deleted the moment they decide. Use these tools kindly and lawfully; they exist to help someone you care for, not to control them.

4. Pro: pricing, billing and renewal

  • The Standard tier is free. Pro costs ₹100 / year in India and US$4.99 / year elsewhere, inclusive of applicable taxes unless the checkout states otherwise.
  • You can buy Pro as a yearly subscription, which renews automatically each year until cancelled, or as a one-year pass, which does not renew.
  • Payments are collected by Razorpay, a payment provider regulated in India. In India you can pay by UPI AutoPay, card or a net-banking mandate; outside India by PayPal or an international card (a subscription outside India needs a card, since PayPal payments are one-time). Recurring payments use a mandate you approve at checkout. We never receive your card, UPI or bank details.
  • Pro is tied to the signed-in account and activates once the payment provider confirms payment. If it does not activate, use "Restore Pro" in the app or contact us.
  • Cancellation and refunds are governed by the cancellation & refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
  • We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice on this website and in the app. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.

5. Your content and your data

Everything you enter stays yours. How we handle it is set out in theprivacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: Standard use stays on your phone; Pro exchanges only what the caregiver features need; proof photos are deleted on decision; nothing is sold or used for advertising.

6. Availability and changes

  • Standard features work offline. Pro features depend on your internet connection, your loved one's phone, and our servers, which we run with care but cannot promise will be available at every moment.
  • We improve the app continually and may add, change or retire features. If a change materially reduces what Pro offers during a period you have paid for, you may ask for a pro-rated refund for the rest of that period.
  • We may suspend or end an account that abuses the service, uses it to harass or harm someone, or breaks the law. Where reasonable we will warn you first.

7. Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for a missed dose, an alarm that did not sound, a decision made from information shown in the app, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the app in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kolkata, West Bengal, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any consumer-protection rights that give you a forum closer to home.

9. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
